NICK PLATANIOTIS FIPA – PARTNER/REGISTERED TAX AGENT/JP
Nick has been a long standing member of the Accounting and Finance Industry and has been giving tax advice to high net-worth individuals and small businesses for over 25 years. Nick began his career in Public Practice with a medium-sized Sydney CBD firm whilst pursing his other passion in his life- professional Football.
His journey led him to a firm called Dormers where he continued to hone his skills as an Accountant and Tax Advisor, whilst at the same time quietly building up his own portfolio of clients.
In 1996, Nick went out on his own and N.Plat & Co was off and running in earnest. In July 1998 he was joined by Louie Torre and some years after the business became PT Partners Accountants, Business & Tax Advisors.
Nick possesses great skill in understanding the needs and requirements of high net-worth individuals and small businesses. As he has had industry experience in the finance and property industry, he is able to identify opportunities where he can add value to clients’ overall financial affairs and works closely with our in-house Wealth Advisors in creating a tailored plan to ensure our clients achieve their financial goals.
Nothing is ever too much for Nick and he will always go the extra mile to add value to his clients.
Nick has also developed a niche within the Sports and Charities Sector and he sits on the board of a Cultural Organisation.
Nick’s links to the Football Community have been re-enforced by his ability to engage with members of that community at a professional level and as such is held in high esteem within those circles.
LOUIE TORRE B.COM CA - PARTNER/REGISTERED TAX AGENT/REGISTERED SMSF AUDITOR
Louie began his Public Practice career over 25 years ago and initially worked for small and medium-sized Practices in the Sydney CBD, before joining a Firm called Dormers where he was the Taxation Manager for 3 years.
In July 1998, he joined with Nick Plataniotis as Partner of N Plat & Co, which later became what is now PT Partners, Accountants, Business & Tax Advisors.
Over the years Louie has used his extensive taxation and small business knowledge to assist and add value to his clients. He specialises in advising small to medium-sized businesses in the areas of taxation, finance and strategic planning and via his close workings with our external tax lawyers, has developed a specialty in Business Structuring, Re-structuring, Asset Protection and Estate Planning.
Louie enjoys working with growing businesses and derives great satisfaction from being able to assist small business in the achievement of their goals. All large businesses were once small businesses - the ones that grow have the right team in place and Louie relishes the chance to be part of that team.
Louie is also the Firm’s Registered Auditor within our SMSF division and is also involved in advising clients with regards to their SMSF requirements and obligations.
MARK LATIN – SUPERANNUATION SPECIALIST/CLIENT MANAGER
Mark Latin may be the newest member of our team, having joined PT Partners in August 2015, but his impact is unmistakeable. Mark comes to us with 15 years experience in the industry and a wicked sense of humour.
He is our resident Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) specialist, having not only the expertise and vast knowledge to successfully manage the accounting, administration and auditing aspects of Self-Managed Superannuation, but Mark also takes pride in his proven ability to patiently and effectively communicate with our clients.
Mark is a fully qualified CPA and has obtained a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University.
Ouma Beekia began her career in accounting 10 years ago, with the last 5 being spent as part of the PT Partners team.
Ouma brings an enthusiastic and hard-working attitude with her years of experience in preparing Financial Accounts and Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts.
In addition to this, Ouma assists clients with their tax obligations in regards to reporting GST, PAYGIS, PAYGW and Workers Compensation and is highly regarded in the office for her proven excellence when communicating and negotiating with the Australian Taxation Office and other external governing bodies.
Always the team player, Ouma has also taken on the position of Superannuation Auditor, ensuring that our practices are consistent and in accordance with the Australian Auditing Standards (AAS) and in recent times has undertaken the role of Mentor, imparting her wealth of experience to our junior staff.
Ouma is a fully qualified CPA and an associate member of the Governance Institute of Australia.
Krishna Amos is PT Partners personified, having spent the last 16 years with the firm, more than half of her 29 year long career in the accounting industry.
To say Krishna is one of a kind is an understatement. Her considerable experience and knowledge, particularly in the area of personal and individual tax, is unique to our firm, but it is these skills coupled with her distinctive bubbly personality that set Krishna apart from most other accountants.
Working on a part time basis, Krishna is available for appointments in the office on a Tuesday and Thursday.
Krishna is a fully qualified CPA and has obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Wollongong University.
Liam Nolan is new to the industry and new to our team at PT Partners, having joined the firm in March 2015.
While learning the ropes, Liam has emerged as a promising talent as he applies his analytical mind, time management skills and understanding of various accounting software including, MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks and Excel, to practical use.
He enjoys completing Individual, Trust and Company Income Tax Returns, with particular interest in Capital Gains Tax Schedules.
He is a team player and through his drive and determination to learn everything there is to know about taxation, we see a bright future ahead for Liam here at PT Partners.
Liam has obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University and is currently studying his CPA.
Rebecca Rhodes is currently our longest serving member of administration, having worked for the firm for 15 years.
Working her way up from reception to Office Manager, Rebecca is now involved part-time in a project management and bookkeeping capacity.
Due to her long history with the firm, Rebecca is proficient in all things administration and remains a valuable resource for clients and staff to access when assistance is required, and she is only too happy to oblige.
Wendy is the friendly voice on the end of the phone and the face of PT Partners as the firm's receptionist.
Wendy joined PT Partners in November 2016, re-entering the workforce after taking time to raise a family.
Her previous experience working in the accounting industry has allowed Wendy to successfully transition into her role as the first point of contact for clients and she is only too happy to assist them with their requests.
